Art & Poetry
THE CLASSROOM
Sharing a little poem of mine in here with an invitation for anyone interested---
"When I write poetry,
I am freeing words that sing within me.
I am giving life to feelings and sensations
that otherwise would exist in an abstract form.
When I write poetry,
I am painting with letters that have imaginary colors.
I am manifesting with each sentence
a new dimension that otherwise
would be unknown."

Storytelling with art and poetry is one of my favorite practices, especially during the winter! And something that I enjoy even more is to do this with experimental techniques using materials that I have handy and/or that I can recycle or upcycle.
Each piece is always unique, one of a kind with a very specific combination of elements and expressive components. If you too enjoy exploring your imagination, if you enjoy navigating the depths of your inner world to turn them into a creative adventure, reach out to me via email at: emelinasart@gmail.com
I am looking to teach a workshop for mixed media art books with recycled papers and upcycled fabrics. The styles for this class are abstract and magical realism; the focus is on storytelling via art and ethno-poetics. I am open to in person in a local venue possibly at the Art Hive and/or as an online self-pace class hosted by my website portal. Anyone interested in more information and details again, email me at: emelinasart@gmail.com
Please share this workshop information if you know anyone who may be interested.
I have 10 self-published books plus a couple of unpublished manuscripts with poems I use/share in my mentoring sessions.
Right now, "The Raven's Wings" poetry booklet is available for purchase on my website as a pdf e-book. CLICK HERE to go to my poetry page.
And I also have hard copies available for purchase from my place. If interested in a hard copy of the booklet, email me for pricing information and details at: emelinasart@gmail.com
Thank you!

"Stories that live in our bones are told by a language as old as time. They are intimate jewels
that can enrich our being. It is up to us to translate such into some form of art or into some play with words." ~Emelina M. Holland(c) All Copyrights Reserved.
